The MODAM Set Editor

set-editor_large.png

The MODAM set editor is the gateway to the crop production database used in the model. In the database the hundreds of production practices allready defined for MODAM are stored. The set editor is the graphical user interface (GUI) that gives the user the opportunity to enter, edit and retrieve all the relevant production related data from this MODAM database on one page. It is also the point to start at, if you want to work with your own figures.
The special features of this editor include:

  • a hierarchic easy to use structure that is thoroughly connected to the underlying database,
  • a range of datasets and subsets that can be combined to resemble almost any agricultural production practice, its management procedures and the allocated resources and outputs,
  • the potential to assign site classes with freely definable properties to the production practices and to the allocated management procedures and thus the potential to work spatially explicit,
  • the possibility to aggregate crops and their production practices to crop rotations on to farms on to regions,
  • tool tips, a status bar, context menus and all the other typical components of a modern GUI.
