INKA BB is one of seven project groups funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) within the KLIMZUG funding stream.

The objective of KLIMZUG is to develop innovative strategies for adapting to climate change by establishing regional networks comprising researchers, businesses, public administrations and civil associations. By establishing cooperative networks, KLIMZUG seeks to pool stakeholders’ strengths and to integrate expected climate changes into regional planning and development processes. The aim is to contribute to achieving climate change adaptation that is timely and sustainable, thereby strengthening Germany as a business location.

KLIMZUG’s accompanying project at the Cologne Institute for Economic Research fosters exchange between regional KLIMZUG networks, and is responsible for their joint external representation.

KLIMZUG is part of the BMBF’s framework programme “Research for Sustainability (FONA)”.
